Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers - Laurel Bank Park Floral Display
18 Sept - 5 Oct
Laurel Bank Park is one of Toowoomba's prettiest parks, with character-garden theming that's truly unique! With lush lawns and gardens overflowing with cottage garden favourites such as daisies, foxglove and delphiniums, Laurel Bank is perfect for leisurely strolls. This park also features a selection of oak trees, a glorious wisteria arbour, scented garden, and a flowering ornamental peach avenue (hello selfies!).
The feature floral displays are nothing short of spectacular, with over 70,000 flowers and 12,000 tulips blooming during Carnival. Don't miss the themed garden beds that change every year – be sure to check them out from the elevated viewing platform to marvel at living art created by only the flowers themselves. That's what you call flower arranging on a grand scale! In the past the gardener extraordinaires have brought designs to life depicting all sorts of animals, fossils, families and even Olympic themes, wowing everyone who visits the park. It's a highlight of visitors to Laurel Bank Park every year.
Every Monday to Thursday during Carnival, Quiet Hour is observed in the park from 10am to 11am. All live and piped music is paused, creating a calm and peaceful time to explore the gardens at your own pace.
Laurel Bank Park is open everyday and you can visit at any time. And petals it's free, not even a single seed!
